I have the past few years been really good at taking care of my skin, and I truly believe in taking a little bit ofextra time in the evenings to do so. I am young but starting as early as possible will prevent premature wrinkles and it's so easy! This is the routine I have going on right now, even though my choice of cleanser changes a lot. Up until a couple of days ago I only did cleanser and moisturizer but I have upped my skin-game with these beauties. Keep on reading if you are curious:).

1. Cleanser

I have a policy that I ALWAYS double-cleanse. This means removing your makeup with a makeupremover first and THEN cleansing, with your cleanser of choice. Because you might think that a makeupwipe or remover will get all of your makeup off. WRONG. The cleanser remove the remaining oils and dirt. A huge bonus is that your face feels new and fresh.

My cleanser combo of choice is the Clarisonic mia. This is an exfoliating facebrush that you simply charge before using it, dab a bit of the cleanser that comes with the product and wet your face. What I love about this product is that you can use it in the shower too as it water resistant. I recommend exfoliating at least twice a week. This is because by doing so you are removing dead skincells and making room for new and fresh skin. It will also stimulate bloodflow which ultimatly makes your skin look and feel younger. (OPS not everyday though that may leave your face irritated!!!) The cleanser that comes with the product is really refreshing and has a clean smell, but really you could opt for any cleanser of your choice here. And you can use the clarisonic brush for up to a year!

2. Toner

To follow up with a toner after your cleanser is really important. When you remove your makeup, you are opening your pores so that they can breathe. Once this is done you want to close them again and let the skin absorb moisture. A toner will ensure this. This one from Dermica contains vitamin E which is really important for the skin. Vitamin E prevents wrinkles and makes the skin produce more collagen ,which makes the skin look plumper and younger. As you get older you need more collagen as our body's produce less of it. I let this absorb for about 7 minutes before I proceed tot the next step.

3. Eye Cream

Dermica Sans Øyekrem

Under your eyes you want to be careful what kind of products you use. The thinnest skin you have is underneath your eyes ,and this area is extremly sensitive. Therefore investing in an eyecream will only do your eyes good. Remember that the first signs of aging happens underneath your eyes, on your chest/neck and your hands and feet. This eyecream is without any parabens and perfume so it's perfect for this sensitive area.

4. Moisturizer and handcream.

To moisturize is perhaps the msot important step and one I never skip. No matter how much water you drink your skin still don't get enough moisture, especially at this time of the year ( btw I am sorry that it looks so gross I spilled some makeup on it and it's not coming off lol). This affordable one from NIVEA has lasted me for absolute ages! It contains jojobaoil and vitamin E and is extremly mild in scent. I really love it and my skin really feels so soft after I use it. I use this both morining and evening.

The hand creme by DECUBAL is a more recent discovery but I absolutley love it! I must admit I am a bit hand-lazy if I am really tired. And in the past I have seen it as a major chore to moisturize my hands because it seems like it takes FOREVER to dry, plus I don't really struggle with dry hands that much. However I do notice some dryness now that it is the wintertime and opted for this one. What I love most about it is it literally seeps into the skin at ONCE, and it's the best thing ever! I don't have to stop what I'm doing to give my hands some love. It's made for dry skin and has a thick consistency almost gellike. However it's not too thick either because as I said it dries like a dream. This has sunfloweroil in it and the scent it well not that great perhaps but it's very mild and won't affect how you smell afterwards.

5. Spot Treatment

This last step is not one I will do all the time but this is definitly the product I have been most impressed with latly. I have been breaking out like crazy due to stress and needed something to mend it. Most of my breakouts had calmed down a lot before I got to use this ,but I can say it really has worked! It has a toothpastelike concistency that dries really fast. You simply apply it to pimples and inpurities before you go to bed and when you wake up it has dried out the spots and made them less visible. The reason why this works is because it contains salicylic acid which dries out the skin and shed the skin cells, as well as reduce redness and puffiness. Be sure to moistuize in the morning though so your skin don't remain dry!

And THAT friends, concludes my current skincare routine. Let me know in the comments if you liked this one and I'd love to hear yours as well!

Lots of love Emma xxx
